Dear idiots of Tumblr,
Stop joking about Sandy. In no way was this storm “not severe” or a “joke”. The Jersey Shore is destroyed, homes have been washed away, and a rollercoaster is in the ocean for Godsake… I’m located in north Jersey and every other block has a massive tree either in someone’s home, car, or blocking the roads. Towns around me do not have water. My area is not expected to have power for 7 to 10 days. The damage will cost millions, if not billions of dollars. Downed powerlines make it impossible to get anywhere and unsafe. This is no joke, people. NJ and every other state hit is not built to deal with hurricanes like this. Sirens are still going off every few minutes. Flood warnings are being put into effect just now.
Get your head out of your ass and realize this storm has seriously damaged the east coast.
My neighbors fence just got destroyed, my friends shore house will be underwater by 5 pm, and the trees in my backyard aren’t looking so stable…
Please, if this hurricane is affecting you stay inside. Stay safe!
Visited yesterday for the open house… The student volunteers were so nice, the campus was gorgeous, and the Airforce R.O.T.C men I talked too were very helpful. I’m really liking this school.
